when i boot up this system, it counts the full 128mb memory, then counts it again and again, i mean, it's not the end of the world, i just press escape and it skips it, but it's slightly annoying, as i'd like to be able to turn my computer on, go off somewhere, and have it waiting for me
i recently formatted also, the problem happend before that too (i didn't format 'because' of it though)
oh, and this hasn't always happend

Go into your BIOS. There's an option to enable "Quick Boot." Or "Skip Memory Test." Enable that. Problem solved. Consult the manual that came w/your mobo if you're unsure what I mean by "BIOS." Good luck. 🙂

ok, i went into the bios and enabled 'quick power on self test'

now, it still counts the meory, but isn't like looping, is that normal?

Yes, that's it.

Without Quick Power On Self Test, the RAM is tested 5 times.
