Boot-up/bios problem

After getting my motherboard replaced with MSI K8N NEO4 Platinum/SLI and waiting for my one (yes, i only have one) video card is being RMA so i have i have using a ATI 9200 Radion SE PCI to use my computer. After a week of no troubles, the computer won't get pass the memory count. (and i can only see the result if i time Tab correctly... or just rapidty). I play around with the harddrives, ram and the video, etc as well as clearing the CMO. Any tips, suggestion, etc. I have Kingston 1GB (2 x 512MB) and NEC ND-3520A BK(which i doubt matters).

im just using the one from my cas, aBroadway Com Corp 82-4HL, and all i know it's 500W

It seems that power supply scared everyone away!

But seriously, 18A on the 12V rail is considered not to be enough. Read Power Supply 101 for more information. You can browse through the General Hardware category for more threads concerning power supplies. I would recommend replacing that power supply for a good brand (fortron, sparkle) with more amps on a single 12V power line.

It would seem that since the bios POST cannot get past the memory count, there would be a hardware issue. I would presume the issue to relate to either the power supply or RAM. After replacing the power supply, it would be good to test the RAM with memtest.

For further justification why it is a good idea to replace your power supply, read through mechBgon's posts and replies to others. He has found most hardware issues are fixed by purchasing a better power supply.

Hmm... this kinda makes sense to me but i'm just wondering why it was working for a week+ and when this came up before, it was simply a matter of messing around with something that were plugged into the motherboard. PSU always go over my heard for some reason.
