They are both detected almost instantly.

At the Windows XP loading screen, with just the SATA drive hooked up, it maybe makes 2 passes with the bar. 3 at most.

When I threw in the ATA drive that bar maybe makes 25 passes.

It seems that the HDD Led is not active for a solid 30 seconds. Then comes on..

I was going to ask if you're sure you have the jumper in the right position (like single drive rather than master), but that makes it hang on detection during posts like saltedeggman was talking about...

Does this many (3) Primary and secondary seem right to anyone?

Seems off to me ?

And I don't have a PCI IDE controller in the system either, so what is device manager referring too?

EDIT: Unistalling 2 of the P IDE / S IDE did nothing.. Just reinstalled after reboot!

WTF!!!

My 6800GT is really acting up as well.

I can run Prime95 for hours, but throw HL2 or Star wars on and it crashes within 10 minutes ( not overclocked)

After the intial hard crash, it seems thats when my boot time went up as well?!?!

I might swap the card out tomorrow and see.

Anyone ever hear of this?!!
