Boot problems.. Boot.ini...

When I upgraded my Windows XP home to XP pro, when loading my OS my bios always used to still recognize the old operating system despite having uninstalled it. My friend from college helped me modify my boot.ini file to no longer recognize XP home. Big mistake, now no operating system is being recognized on boot up. Can somebody help me out with this?

Thanks in advance..
