Boot problem

Ok so this has happened twice now and it's making me uneasy. For some reason, it does not find the drive with the boot file on it. Now this is odd because I only have a single HDD right now and it finds the drive fine. Now to get it to work I reset my PC once or twice and it finds the boot file and loads up. However it doesn't read the keyboard. I have no problem with that since I just unplug and plug it back in. But the boot issue is worrying me. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

HDD could be going out. Run HDTune on it.

And/or run the manufacturer's utility on it.

Also, be sure to backup all your data to another drive/source, just in case there is hard drive failure. It's a good habit to be in anyway.

Well I sure hope that's not the case. I've only had this computer for a couple weeks.

EDIT: Windows Backup is good to use for backups right?

ok. I have an external HDD so that will work.

I just ran HDTune on it and the only problem it says the HDD has is Ultra DMA CRC Error Count. Can anyone shed some light on that?

Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is a method of verifying and correcting data after it is sent. What this warning is telling you is that at one point, data being sent/received by the drive failed this check. The most common cause for this is a faulty cable. or hdd starting to give up.

Well if it gives, I still got warranty so yeah. And if it's a cable, I can get help for that. Still, damn
