Boot Problem

My PC won't boot without a bootable CD in the drive. It blue screens every time in Win XP Pro. With a bootable CD in the drive, it will boot immediately every time. Any ideas?

Sounds like either something isn't right w/ your boot order in the bios or the XP boot loader is borked, you might want to try and repair it via the XP recovery console I belive the command is fixboot. Hope this helps... 🙂

Whats the error in the Blue screen?

If its Unmountable_boot_volume, try chkdsk /r in recovery console...

PM me if you need help regarding the above..
