Boot Menu Cleanup Help

I installed XP Home on a laptop that had XP Pro. Now when I boot up I get a boot menu with the choice of either XP home or XP Pro.

Choosing XP Pro results in the following message: "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.............."

Choosing XP Home results in normal bootup.

How do I get XP Home to bootup withoug going through the boot menu?

Thanks.

Not on a PC right now, but as far as I remember, right click "My Computer" then go to Advanced?, then find Startup, and edit the Boot.ini file. Not exact, but it's somewhere there.
