Boot loop issue with Z68 chipsets in general, Gigabyte specifically.

I have been reading quite a bit about the boot loop issue, does anyone know how wide spread this is exactly? Quite a few postings of P67 chipsets doing the same thing. Unfortunately, it is usually just people with problems that post about their experiences, not the ones that have had good results.

I have a Gigabyte Z68X-UD4 that is ready to be returned along with an i5 2500K. Neither has been unboxed yet. This is going to be a work machine and it absolutely has to be stable and reliable.
