Boot into USB Floppy

I need to low level format my WD hard drive. I downloaded their tool and made a diskette from it. I then changed the settings in the bios for it to boot from a USB Floppy. But it doesn't actually boot off the floppy. The boot order is : 1. usb floppy 2. disabled 3. disabled When i reboot, the light on the floppy drive comes on for a sec as if it's reading it, but then it stops and continues to boot from the hd. Any ideas how i can get it to boot off the floppy so i can low level format my drive?? Thanks.

Oh, i'm using an asus kv8 pro mobo.

try setting the first boot device to simply Floppy...perhaps your MOBO is just making it a regular one, even though its on USB

What exactly did you download and how did you make a diskette of it? Link, please? Was it a WinImage Self Extracting Application? Maybe it didn't extract everything properly. If the drive read light is lighting up for a sec and then it continues on to boot from the HDD, it sounds like it is trying to boot from the floppy first like you want but isn't seeing anything bootable. Did you try to create the diskette, again?
