I was chainging the boot screen for windows because I was a little bored, I changed it to one it worked, i changed it to another and it will now no longer boot into windows. What it does is it will load the boot screen the progress bar goes by then the screen goes black, but the welcome screen never appears. I did fixmbr and fixboot along with chkdsk and also the repair option after hitting install windows from the cd, none seeemed to help though the repair did seem to replace alot of drivers from it looked like. So my next train of thought was to put it onto my IDE controller and use another harddrive to boot into windows and change the boot.ini and whatever else I could see was wrong with it. It detects the harddrive which is partitioned into two partitions the one with the operating system gives me and error about the semaphore ....this is something I have never seen before.... now the second partition I can access fine.

Any ideas on how to fix it? the only other thing was going to try was possibly a linux life cd, but I have to find one in my cd piles, and I have a feeling it will have similar results. Other than that I have not tried making a windows boot disc.
