Boot from external USB Device

I've got a copy of Edgy Eft Knot 3 on a DVD, and I'd like to try it out. The only problem is that my DVD-ROM is an external USB device, and my BIOS doesn't appear to have the option to boot from it. It's the latest revision (A08) and I went through all the settings and found nothing.

Is there any way to do this?

Not if your BIOS doesn't support it.

Most modern boards do, but not all. There should 3 different USB boot options; USB-HDD, USB-FDD, or USB-CDROM.

I've got nothing like that. So...there's no way I can try this live CD? I can't, somehow, mount it and access it through Grub, or something stupid like that?
