hey everybody, i recently replaced the motherboard of my pc with an asus A7n8x. in bios i select to boot from cd-rom (a lite-on burner) and put the xp pro disk in. on reboot from bios, i get a an error message after it begins to verify my data pool. ERROR LOADING DISK. PLEASE INSERT DISK AND PRESS ENTER. after countless trys, im baffled. the pc recognizes all my drives, they all get power, it just doesnt read my disk. any ideas, solutions? i dont know how to get into a prompt to format my hard drive either. it was pulled from my old pc with xp pro on it, from the same disk. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't get any more direct methods, you can use an old MS-DOS bootable floppy (Win 98SE/DOS 7) with an AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS that loads a CDROM driver. Boot to the floppy, and enter D:\SETUP (assuming D: is your CD-ROM drive).
