Boot Device Problem

I recently built a system using an Intel D845GEBV2 motherboard. Also using a Western Digital 60 gig hdd. Every time this machine is turned on, the boot process stops at the hdd detection and gives this error:

Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device
or Insert Boot Media in Selected Device.

Press F2 to Run Setup
Press F12 if you want to Boot From the Network

Hitting the reset button causes the machine to reboot and start properly. I have the HDD alone on a good cable and it's set as Master. What could be causing it to do this, but to run perfectly on the reboot?

Thanks.

For some reason it seems WD drives don't like to have jumpers attached. I've run into this a couple of times with them. After removing the jumpers, the drives were recognized as they should be.

Thanks Technonut ;)

WD drives have 2 differnt settings for Master, When the drive is all alone on it's own channel all recent WD drives require you to have no jumper or it set to cable select, when their is a slave on the same channel as the WD then the drive needs to be set to master, eg 2 settins Jumper on = Master w/ Slave, Jumper off = Master w/out Slave. Hope this helps.... :)
