Boot...but no boot?

I boot up my board on my K7 Master, and everything turns on...the HD starts thinking, but no connection w/ monitor. No beeps. Nothing. A big black screen.

Someone who is smart, what is this ? I'm cornfused.

I heard it could be a chipped die. But i dont think it is, as it stopped working when i installed a new vid card. I tried about 6 vid cards , no luck. No bios check either-as in the computer doesn't look at the floppy for a new bios version.

I asked some guy at Micro Center, and he said the new vid card might have shorted the mobo, by static electricity. I'm not sure, but I get 4 red lights on my mobo, but I have no idea what that means as I got no manual.

Someone please help.

The four red lights just indicate Power on. When you try the video cards do you have any other cards installed? Have you tried booting with just the Video card\Ram\CPU installed, no HD or Floppy?
