Boosting voltage on DDR ram?

I have some Crucial PC2100 ram and I am trying to get a bit more out of it's top FSB/clock speed. I beleive my mobo allows me to do 2.6 to 2.8 volts. I have heard from some places that a volt boost helps a lot, but at the same time I do not want to damage my memory.

Has anyone tried this, and what kind of results did you get?

I always keep my voltages at default when I overclock. However, a marginal boost in voltage will not kill the memory. In fact, some motherboards give a little boost with the default settings (8KHA+ starts at 2.6v). 10% is about the largest increase in voltage I would suggest. It is conservative enough that problems are very unlikely to arise. Any more than that will create a lot of excess heat and reduce the life of the component significantly. Boost it one incriment at a time to make sure that your system doesn't do anything quirky.
