I'm with you. The problem is, see, that there's no irony detectable in his post. Who's slow now? Maybe if the OP took an English class or two, he'd know how to get these things across (if that was his intention in the first place).
 
Who are we to judge fatty4ksu? He just spent over $5,000 on an AMD system with the primary purpose of video encoding, when that's just about the only thing that Intel does better. We need to come together and comfort this poor guy.

Honestly, what kind of a tool has the money to pre-order an $827.90 CPU and then is so immature that he has to hang around a forum and make useless posts bragging about it? I just can't imagine this being anything besides a 15-year-old who got the cash by crying till his parents gave in. Either that or he's an extremely immature 15-year-old who's just lying. That's also very likely.

And if he has the cash for an $827.90 CPU, why can't he swing the extra $177 to get the X2 4800+ with twice the cache? At least it's faster than Intel's newest CPU at video encoding. If the budget's an issue, you'd think he'd be smart enough to know that the extra $177 on the CPU would make a lot more difference than the extra 1GB of RAM that cost just as much.

The difference between 1GB and 2GB is almost nothing for most apps, and that includes video editing and encoding, which you have mentioned is your main purpose for the system. Hardcore gaming, large database work and extremely high-res Photoshop work are about the only times you'll notice any difference, and you certainly don't have a hardcore gamer video card, so that's probably out.
