Before you sas me, I've got a Prescott P4 3.4. I'd trade it for a good Venice and NF4 SLI/Ultra mobo. 🙂

Because trolls should be banned. I don't "find" his posts, they're right at the top when I check the General Hardware forum. I'm saying that his posts are worthless and he should either change or just leave the forums.
 
Your logic is wrong. He does not have more money. He gave it to newegg. Now we have more money.

Edit: i think the same thing every time you see something like Dr. A in a boxster and Dr. B in an accord. everyone thinks, cool Dr. has money. No, Dr B. has money. Dr A. gave more of his away.

btw in about 3 years i too will be a dr. and my dream car out of school will be a 1-2 year old matrix or the like. Pimp!

People, including myself, post to get feedback and technical direction for their new builds and upgrades. I try to be understanding, but it does get annoying when someone(cough*bluedeviltron*) posts many, many, many, many, many times about their new build. Don't bite their head off, just post a link to an old post or to their old post of the same questions being answered.

No, it's not a real "rig". It belongs to one of your pretend friends and I'm not impressed at all. The point of theese forums is not to try and impress others with how much money you have, because it doesn't work. We aren't ipmressed, we think you're an ass. The reason we come here is to learn a little bit, and share what we have learned.
 
You've completely missed the point of why people post system threads here, which is to ask for help in deciding between parts and to make sure they aren't buying a wrong part.

I find the "Is my new rig OK?" threads a little annoying, but not nearly as much as the "Build me a monster gaming rig for $300" threads or the "If you had all the money in the world, what would you build?" threads.

At least with the first one, there is some purpose, and the OP can get a sence of comfort that they aren't making a stupid buying decision. But the last two types are just worthless and take up space.
 
Ya know, it may bore you but it might not bore someone else. You are under NO obligation to visit any thread whatsoever. If it doesn't interest you, ignore it. I think you have an agenda, and that's why you started this thread. Personally, I haven't built a rig in a long time, but I've built 3 and expect I'll be building another one soon. I don't believe I posted a thread here about it but I may well post one next time I'm planning a rig. Maybe some people are bent when they make those posts, but it's an individual thing. Every time I've built a rig I spent a LOT of time trying to make sure I was doing the right thing, and of course, that's an individual thing. Back off....
