Lifer
sent package to FL, got sent to some office building in VA......

Their response.... "Tough".

Appearently, they do not read the address on the label.

2nd response:

"Next time...do not use confirmation because it increases the likliehood of teh package being lost".

You heard it here. They told me to never use confirmation.

Hmmm....I need to look into that. I ended up paying $10 after everything with the flat rate box. I think i did have it, but i sially tell them to just add everything....

Either way....they gave me another repsonse....

"Next time...do not use confirmation because it increases the likliehood of teh package being lost".

ANyways....this package was my gf's mother's day gift. i do not want to tell her that the package is lost.....

If there was no insurance, it's gonna be my ownage.🙁

I've shipped thousands of packages with USPS and never had one lost within the United States. I guess you had bad luck, or maybe I had good luck.

doesn't matter. The guy said that when you do confirmation, they no longer read the address label (Everything is scanned and sorted through a computer?). It didn't make much sense to me, but I guess it really does not have to since i do not run the post office.

I learned that now. I have just never had the post office loose a package when sent priority. The fact that they do not read the address label when they you do confirmation just scares the hell out of me. Hell, I even trust UPS more now.

I am not a fan of UPS at all, they are usually more expensive and I have seen LOTS of damaged packages....unfortunately if you are shipping firearms or ammo there are not a lot of choices....
