Boomer was a better QB, but neither should be in the HOF. They had nice careers, were successful for their teams to different degrees, but it ends there.

I'm a bit biased for Boomer since I went to Maryland during his tenure there and I remember seeing him in the dining halls. I consider him the greatest quarterback in Maryland and he was a great NFL quarterback too.

There's some truth to that. :)

Boomer may have been a marginally better player, but he wasn't the team leader that Phil was. The Giants lived and died with Simms.

Love the Giants as well, but I disagree with that statement. They won with Hostetler against the best offensive team in the league! (Go Ottis!)

Boomer was a better QB than Simms overall. Simms had one of the best Superbowls ever.

I'd say if Boomer got in, I wouldn't blink. If Simms got in, I'd be surprised.
