Mk.13 info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M24_Sniper_Weapon_System#USN_Mk.13_Sniper_Weapon_System

The United States Navy uses the Mk.13 Sniper Rifle that is shop-built by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC-Crane). This sniper rifle is based on a variant of the Remington M700 bolt action and is chambered for .300 Winchester Magnum. It was originally set in a McMillan Brothers A3 model stock, but the latest Mk.13 MOD 5 variant is set in an Accuracy International Chassis System 2.0 (AICS 2.0) stock with a side-folding butt.

...and for some reason this thread reminded me of the "Fumbles" clip from Robot Chicken.

That dude is insane!

If ever there was a need for a "GOD-LIKE!" medal, that man would get it hands down. I mean, not that the others guys listed didn't go through hell and back... but holy S**T. AND he had half his face blown off and lived.

As a sidenote, I am not affiliated with the military in any way. All I know about snipers are simply what I read on wikipedia. In general, I have the utmost respect for military servicemen of all nations considering many of them go through some mind-f****ng stuff that I would never wish to deal with.
