Bookshelf CD/cassette - ideas?

~$150 budget, preferably a CD changer with cassette capability.

I'm not finding much on Amazon - the cassette requirement doesn't make things easy...any ideas?

Try eBay. Probably tons of older ones out there. I'm guessing you mean one of the all-in-one stereo units, not a home theatre system.

Yeah, an all-in-one. It's for a not-very-tech-savvy person...looking for a Christmas gift so I don't want to get something used off of eBay. If it was a home theater setup, I'd have a much easier time, I think!

lol, none of those things were ever decent

I still have my kenwood one (paid 500 back in the days), the laser is gone, but I am just using them as computer speakers anyway.
