I wrote a book last year called "Why I'm smarter than everyone else". I'd like to see myself make a movie out of it starring me.

Isn't there already a Bringing Down the House movie? Perhaps it has nothing to do with that book?

Not the same thing... Not even close. I think it might be in the pre-production/concept stage right now under the title "21"

It wouldn't go over well, IIRC - disgraced opponent of the US crashes jumbo jet full of fuel into Congress while in session.

My vote goes for something cyberpunkish - Snow Crash, Neuromancer, or Altered Carbon. (Movie rights have been purchased for the last)

Chickenhawk, by Robert Mason
Chickenhawk: Back in the World, also by Robert Mason.

(They are true stories from a Helicopter Pilot in 'Nam. The first chronicles his enlistment and his tour of duty.
The second tells of his struggles after he comes home.)
