Ice - Vladimir Sorokin Just started it, so only about 80 pages in, but a very easy and entertaining read so far.

The Slynx - Tatyana Tolstaya Another work of dystopian fiction. Looking forward to it. I really can't get enough of this stuff.

501 Great Artists: A Comprehensive Guide to the Giants of the Art World Trying to learn some things on art, so girlfriend bought me this as a bit of a primer.

Children of Hurin. I'm a huge LOTR fan and have read The Silmarillion multiple times. I knew it was out, but hadn't gotten around to reading it.

Got that too. Finished in one day. Was disappointed because the same story is in Unfinished Tales.

I thought he fleshed it out more. That's disappointing. At least the illustrations are cool.
