Books for beginners?

I have a young friend who's 14 and is looking to learn about the basic's of computers. Like what's a motherboard, processor, memory, etc. and what they do. And how to build them, etc. Any ideas for books he could find in a library, or websites with tutorials?

Get a simple to read A+ certification book. Has most everything a beginner should start out with.

A book is a book.
If you are looking for certain information, then read that book.
For A+ I would recommend Mike Meyers
