Just finished Deception Point.

Dan Brown should be buried alive in a swimming pool of these in hardback.

Ugh.

.... god I need a Tower fix ....

Did you catch the short story, "Little Sisters of Eluria?" It's a Roland story - not much to do with the Tower, however. And Insomnia was was a good read with a Tower tie-in.

I read it last month. Thought it was good, but he's obviously planning more books for the series...he left a few storylines hanging.

Currently I'm reading book 4 of the Pendragon series. It's ok, but written for an adolescent audience. Heh, I ran out of reading material, so I once again have resorted to raiding my son's bookcases (in this case, reading them before I even bother putting them in his bookcase after I bought them for him.)

im reading "becoming a chef" that my wife got for my birthday, and then ill skim through a cookbook i got for my birthday, and then ill re-read "im just here for more food" by alton brown because i want to make some good bread

Just finished Good To great

I bought Built to las on half and that should be here soon.

My wife just picked me up Newt Gingritch and I am trying to get into that

Previous: Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers by Grant Naylor. I've been on a Red Dwarf kick of late, and this was the first of the novels I've managed to pick up. It was pretty good. First part was Lister's backstory, how he ended up on the Dwarf. Very amusing there, affords an interesting look at the rest of the human world. Second section was essentially a retooling of seasons 1 and 2 of the series, to clean up some stuff, change some things to mesh with what was changed in later series, and do what their budget prevented them from doing with the show. The last section, also new material, was quite disappointing. Still, funny book overall. I really must track down the other 3.

Oh, and I also finished the latest book in Alistair Reynold's Revelation Space series. It was okay. The first two (Revelation Space, Chasm City) were far superior to it, but it was just an okay chapter. For anyone interested in that series, I cannot recommend the first two books enough. Fantastic stuff. No hurry for the 3rd and 4th though.

Current: The Man in the Maze by Robert Silverberg. Sci fi from 1969 (in 35 years books have gone from $0.75 to ~$9.00. Nice, huh?) and one of the shorter volumes on my To Read shelf. Decent, but will hopefully pick up soon.

Just finished reading Shadown Puppets by Card. Alright book, his ealier work in the series is better. Before this i read a awesome book called Give Us This Day , its written by Sidney Stewart. Really really good book. Talks about the Bataan death march during World War II. Gives you a real good idea what POWs in the south pacific had to deal with. If your looking for a book to read, try Give Us This Day... really great story.

Next on the list is either Into the Wild or Lucifer's Hammer.

The Nomad of Time by Michael Moorcock
It's a trilogy...........
The Warlord of the Air
The Land Leviathan
The Steel Tsar
.

Midnight Falcon by David Gemmell.

Just started it - haven't read fantasy in a while so I thought I would give it a try. Probably should have started with the first in the Rigante series but oh well.
