RT is the last site movie site I would actually look for for reviews. Movie critic reviews are, for the most part, a waste of breath and ink. I tend to check out imdb, and pretty much anything rated above 6 will probably be pretty good, but I'll still check out user comments.

I agree Rotten Tomatoes just isn't very good IMO. The one I check is Box Office Mojo. Usually how the movie does with those viewers is usually in line with how the movie really is. As for The Book of Eli, it really is a good movie. Some nice twists in it as well. The best apocalyptic movie since Independance Day.

Also interesting - directed by the Hughes brothers ( Menace II Society, American Pimp ).

VERY COOL, that's awesome. Not surprising that a PC gamer would write something related to the Fallout games/concept.

I remember him talking about what he was doing--he didn't say much except "it was big." I guess he was right. This was back in 2007.

I'm another sucker for post-apocalyptic movies and books. Book of Eli looks good. The Road looks good also. I'm currently listening to The Road audiobook.

After seeing it: I liked it but I wasn't blown away. It was kinda one of those movies where all the good scenes are in the previews.

Not the best, but still a good flick. I never turn down a post-apo movie though.

ehh i disagree. many scenes were left out of the previews and not to ruin the ending, I thought that was a great ending too, totally unexpected.

It was a solid, but not great movie. The acting was good, though there were a few continuity issues relating to the spoilers that bothered me, and for some reason I felt a sense of deja vu from 40-50% of the scenes in the movie. ~7/10

I figured out that he had it memorized, but not that he was blind. I thought her taking the stuff and going back was stupid though. There were a few scenes in the beginning where he quite obviously looked around, which doesn't make sense with the blindness. Him looking over the side of the rocks at the girl getting raped and the scene where he shoots the two guys with arrows for example.

yea but he does have superior hearing and smelling. with average hearing, you can tell how far something is, and if they are talking, about what.

In the end gunfight, why the hell does he stop shooting when MArtha dies? Martha's husband kills ALL the 1st wave of bad guys that come towards the house. Eli just sits there?!?! WTF?!
