Anyone going to check this out? Previews look kinda cool, and I'm a sucker for anything post-apocolyptic. :)

It looks decent. I'm a fan of post-apocalyptic as well, and this looks like a Fallout 3 clone, so I'll see it.

Previews definitely look promising. Probably won't win any deep thinking awards, but will be a winner in reguards to sound & video.

Exactly what I was thinking. Reminds me a lot of Fallout 3. I'll be seeing it tomorrow afternoon!

I didn't realize it was post-apocalyptic, I just chalked it up to some middle eastern sandstorm movie. I'll have to check it out for sure now.

Reviews suck so far. Just watched The Road and thought it was pretty good for what it was... probably much better than Eli at around 1/100th the cost to produce it. :D

RT didn't much like it but I'm not sure how much that is movie reviewers who really don't like anything biblical related.

BTW The Road is a "good" movie in that a documentary of the holocaust could be good. It's very well done, don't get me wrong, but don't expect something uplifting. Heck, I think it's even darker than 28 Days Later. Actually quite a bit more. There is another thread about it, though, in OT. There is a certain comedy in movies like Dawn of the Dead in which zombies are seen as not even really human. This doesn't have any of that lightness, though.

I liked the movie, very unpredictable and makes for a good movie. The plot is sooo much better then half the movies I have seen the past 12 months.

I plan to see it. Reading reviews of movies I really liked I learned that I would have missed a lot of good movies had I listened to other people. I see some movies scoring high and rented them for that reason, and they completely sucked.

500 Days of Summer and Bruno come to mind for me. Hated both those stupid movies.

Gettins a 43% @ Rotten Tomatoes so maybe it's not horrible but that means it's not good so I may enjoy it but won't know until I see it.

RT is the last site movie site I would actually look for for reviews. Movie critic reviews are, for the most part, a waste of breath and ink. I tend to check out imdb, and pretty much anything rated above 6 will probably be pretty good, but I'll still check out user comments.
