I bought those z560s from the dell deal for about 120 bucks in November. But now they have gone bad and Logitech suport told me that they would send me new speakers however I needed to pay the shipping. But the shipping is gonna cost me like 50 bucks. Damn I cant even make up my mind whether t go for it or not?
what do u guys suggest??
PS: Does USPS have home pick up? I dont have a car and I need some one to pick up these heavy weights from my house?

<< Forget it. Just listen to the voices in your head. Why do you need speakers. >>

lol
some of u guys here have such a crazy sense of humor. WHy cant I meet such guys in real life??

dang first everyone hypes these things and now they're breaking down left and right.

are you guys just pushing them too much or are they just faulty? i mean with the 400 watts it has i can understand wanting to crank it up, but all these stories of breakage are ridiculous. Making me reconsider getting a set of these now.

Did some one else beside me also lose their speakers?? I thought I was the only one to lose these speakers??

Whao, my thread linked. Not by me! 🙂

[edit]

It would be nice if Logitech told us if it would be possible to repair these ourselves since shipping is 1/5th of the system cost.
My condolences kulki.

Left and right? Four people said there had a problem with it. Hardly qualifies as left and right.

And no, USPS doesn't do home pickup for large packages. Can you narrow down which part went bad? If you just send that part back, it'll be cheaper. Course, if it's the sub, you're screwed anyway. 😀

I think ya might be taking that too literally. Its just interesting how theres been a number of threads in recent weeks about them breaking, im sure thats what he was refering to.

I dont think its a problem with the satellite. I suspect its something wrong with on of the channels. So I have to send it to them to get new ones. I guess I have no option but to send the entire speakers to them.

No need to ship it back, just find a local store (large store...don't be cheating the mom and pop stores) and swap it with a new one. Buy it and return it. Stores that offer no restocking fee are your best bet, but even if they do charge a fee, it'll likely be less than $50.

Read "dansdata.com"'s review on them. Undersized transformer inside, blah blah blah.

What else but obviously low quality electronics can you expect from a $150 pair of speakers? At least the sats kick ass 😀

well, you can try to catch a ups truck in motion and ask them to take it.
i doubt they'll charge you this way.
