Let me apologize in advance for a question I should know the answer to but dont....anyway, I have a kt3 ultra with raid...my question, can I run one HD off one of the raid channels and essentially use it as an extra IDE channel, or can I only run raid off the raid channels?

You can RUN any ATAPA/IDE device on the RAID channels, they can act just as regular IDE channels when not in RAID mode......
