Speaking of seafood chains that have gone big recently, I'd like to see how Bonefish stacks up against McCormick and Schmick's, Portland's hometown kinda-upscale seafood restaurant chain that has really grown up in the past few years.
btw, anyone visiting Portland must stop by
Jake's.

Would you mind dropping by Ikea and picking up a Jerker for me?

Mucho thanks!

You're in Alaska, right?

Yes, Fairbanks/North Pole area. They had a Sizzler at one point, and a Skipper's, both went under though. There are a couple of Lower '48 chains opening up here in the near future, hopefully it will encourage some of these others to expand into the area.

That place has a much larger menu, and offers my favorite seafood(oysters) in tons of different styles. Closest one to me is Atlanta, but I used to live very close to one of the locations there. Too bad I didn't here of it first. Their drink prices seem very reasonable as well. I still will never understand how so many people out there HATE seafood. I'm guessing their parents did as well and never exposed them to it.

Sometimes, like when we were digging for clams at Clam Gulch, and I pulled what I thought was a King Crab shell out of the sand, and it turned out to have the whole crab, alive and kicking, attached. :p I got sick of salmon growing up, as we would fill our freezers every summer after fishing at the Kenai River, but sometimes one tires of having to hunt and kill one's own food. Plus there is more to life than salmon, halibut, etc. ;) Mmmm, deep fried halibut... :p

I guess so. I love seafood. mmm... oysters... :)

The best thing about M&S's (at least around here) is their ridiculous $1.95 Happy Hour menu. There's one not far from my house, and it makes for a favorite late night meal and a drink for the GF and I.

Ross, if you're serious about that, send me a PM and I'll see what I can arrange and check with the better half to see if we will have the time. I won't speak for her, but she'll probably use this as an excuse to go there anyway (she loves the place).
How will I deliver though, without breaking your veil of privacy? I'm not shipping if it's just cross-town :p

I have 3 Bonefish Grills within 15 minutes of my place and one I can even walk to. I've been there once. It was a very good dining experience. I would go back, but my wife didn't think it was the best.

I believe they are owned by the same group as The Outback Steakhouse.
