bonding 2 56k modems on one phone line

is it possible on just one computer? can you trick internet connection sharing on xp to do it?
 
This was called modem bonding. You have to have two modems that support it, two phone lines and two accounts with an isp that supports it. It didn't really take off and there aren't many isp's that support it. There is no way to trick XP into doing it.
