good film, very good

they changed it enough to stop it being a complete joke like the last few pierce brosnan ones, but not so much that it wasnt a bond film

they over did the kissing n stuff and didnt show nearly enough of the Aston Martin DBS 9, but the girl who plays vesper WAS SMOKING HOT and i guess ill forgive them the car.

particularly liked the parkour part at the beginning where bond is chasing legendary free runner sebastien foucan. alot of people will think thats all wire harness stunts and what not and some of it was (crane segments) but if sebastien had his way im sure it would of been done without them.... the guys a freakin hero with big nuts.

and the ball sack whipping daniel craig got made every man in the cinema squirm.......gah that must hurt like the mother of all bitches.

thoroughly good movie.....ill be picking that up on DVD when its out for sure.

an another thing, they are playing poker for ages in the movie......$10million buy in $200,000 blinds etc...im sat there thinking ****** me thats a lot of cash, but then i was like there are actually people in the world who could easily afford that every night.

how on gods green ****** earth do you end up possessing so much money? ill be willing to bet 90% of the routes to the big money arent legal and the other 10% are barely legal

Good job OP, you are officially a bandwagoneer.

I saw this movie and couldn't decide what was more ******.... the fact that bond got pwned by the first girl he wanted to bang or the fact that half the movie was a super ridiculous "kids" quality poker game with lots of money at stake.

The movie had its high points.... but it wasn't a bond film.

It was a movie made for the masses and sheep consumers (like yourself, OP). Though I did get suckered into watching it based on my high value of opinions to movie sites that I will no longer be reading since I saw this movie that they praised.

It was a terrible broken plot movie that might as well just been a 3 hour texas holdem game.

Seriously... texas holdem? phucking gg on the class "bond."

Saw it yesterday. The last movie was a cross between Bugs Bunny and a Muppet Show with a bad plot, so it could only improve with this one. I must say I actually liked the new one. The ridiculous gadgets were gone (no more invisible cars), the action scenes were much more realistic (which does not say a lot, admittedly), and the plot actually made sense (even though it still had holes).
The poker game was stupid, though. "I called your bluff!". Bond had a full house with aces and kings, genius. That is not a bluff.

I have to go against the trend. The new Bond is a good Bond but this movie was just meh. I enjoyed the first half, especially the first 30 minutes or so, but the movie seemed to drag on and on and on. I think it had like 3 or 4 endings. And it started taking wicked twists and turns and it just unraveled.

And what was with only like 1 minute of on-screen driving time for the Aston Martin???

Movie was mehhh. Texas Holdem? That was lame. I can't remember more than 2 or 3 good action sequences, at least ones that even somewhat interested me. Lack of gadgets was a big . Overall a very average movie that had me squirming in my seat as it was about 45 minutes too long. Take out the poker nonsense and it might have been a bit more palatable.

Dude... WTF? It was more a Bond movie than perhaps any previous film since it stuck the closest to the books. And what is deal against Texas Hold'em. Did you think they should have played polo for the "class" factor?

I saw the new Bond film today, and I liked the action sequences, seems like they're trying to change more to a Jason Bourne-esque style. Although I do miss Q and his gadgets.
I still like Goldeneye, Sean Bean makes a great Bond villain, and seeing Boris getting frozen solid after yelling "Yes, I'm Invincible!" is priceless.

Obviously you people do not understand this movie. Gadgets have diluted the movies and this was a movie that shied away from that trend to convey Bond as someone that relied on his skills instead of his gadgets. The actions scenes were incredible, especially that first one with the guy jumping. Yes I know it is parkour, but it still is amazing. Remember the part when he jumped through that small hole on the top of the wall. This movie was good and it goes back to what Ian Fleming probably wanted in a Bond movie. Sean Connery is still my favorite Bond.
