when flying some of the aircraft, and you are set to bomb, what are the little boxes on the ground? is it a designator like on the missles?
 
i cant hardly fly even... all i know is that if you ARE good at it, you will pwn. It's hard to fight against a really good pilot on there
 
I remember playing the demo for the first time & just crashing the plane into the ocean over & over... people would ride in the helicopter & I would just crash it. Then I got the hang of it & I just selected the bomb & dropped it over where enemies were & I would just rack up kills.
 
I can fly and bomb well, but I prefer to be copilot in the bombers.

THAT gun absolutely pwns.

If you get a good pilot, you'll have no problems racking up 40+ kills in a round with 2 or 3 deaths max.

As to your question.

Boxes, triangles, and circles designate enemy targets.

Don't bomb anything with an X on it though. Ever.

No. I mean the two seater jets. I refer to them as bombers because they carry 5 bombs and 4 missiles 🙂

You can find one in singleplayer on the Operation Clean Sweep map 🙂

I think the USMC bomber is the F-15?

The pilot gets gun, missiles, bombs.

The copilot\gunner gets kickass tank-buster missiles. Kills ANYTHING in one shot. Including commander assets.
 
Played in the demo. I was never that good in the air and whenever I rode along it just seemed the aircraft was just one big missle magnet. I'm much better as assault.

They lock onto the targets. Fire and forget. 🙂

You can manually steer them if you can't get a lock though.

i will have to try this out...anybody want to practice? i have a unlocked server that can handle ~10 peeps. post here and let me know. i just need more practice bombing...
 
if anybody want to practice just type "bf2.sytes.net"(no quotes) into the ip and it will connect. i will keep a window open via vnc on that machine and if anybody connects i will jump in it...

no, i am just watching the server window on the server machine via vnc and if peeps connect i will jump in from my machine...
 
It should be noted that bob is using the 1.00 version of the server.

Most of you will probably have the 1.01 version of the game unless you deleted and reinstall the game.

EA recalled the 1.01 patch.

I, unfortunately, have been too lazy to reinstall it 🙁
 
sorry, i thought most were using 1.00 since the memory problem in 1.01. does the 1.01 really screw it up???

anyway, i just d/l bf2cc since they got the daemon up and will probably be messing with it, see if it is as good as blackbagops for bf1942 and bf:v, to bad kevin didn't make one for this....
