I decided to get a bolt thru kit. I had my fingers crossed, cause its easier to find Santa Claus then to be able to find accessories and peripherals for computers in the part of India I live.

I rang him up and he tells me that he has Thermal alright bolt thru kit. Can I use it for my ocz vendetta 2 ??Heard some where that we can ....

Also is the fan installed properly ??
idle temps @ 42c @ 1.35v vcore
@ 100% load after some 1 hour its 62c

You can removie the push-pins form the OCZ's mounting brackets and use the Thermalright screws & springs together with the backplate.

62C does seem reasonable at 4Ghz.

Yeah you can. I bought a thermalright backplate for my xigmatek. All you do is pop the pushpins out of the bracket and run the screws through there. You can break the pushpins easily when pulling them out, so read the sticky at the top to do it non-destructively

For the record mine ran a couple degrees cooler afterwards, from the increased pressure
