The specs say Cas latency 4. This would be a high number for regular DDR memory, no? Does it somehow mean something different for DDR2?

Let's take this step by step. He/she said that he/she ordered one. Then, also mentioned that they ALSO have a ddr500 512mb dual channel kit for $70.

Since you obviously didn't understand the other deal I posted (even with a link!), that's dual channel DDR1 "PC4000" memory. That's the cheapest PC4000 dual channel kit on pricewatch and $15-$20 cheaper than other name brand PC4000 dual channel kits. :roll:

Wait! My understanding is that these DDR2s have more pins, so that they need a different mobo to have them work in there, right guys????!!!! I am just hoping for you guys to say that I am right. I just ordered a gig of DDR. If these DDR2s work in a regular DDR slot, I'm going to be very pissed tonight.

DDR and DDR2 ram chips are physically different. I believe they are used in the Intel 915 and 925 chipset based mobos.
