What city are you in? I'm in Las Vegas and both the Sam's here don't have copies of Neverwinter: Gold. Thanks.

Slightly cheaper at bestbuy, you can get it for $15 there. There's a $5 off $19.99 or more gamers coupon inside the black gamers giftcard jewel case. You can get any video or PC game $5 off with that.

I picked up the Command And Conquer Collection for $15.00 at CompUSA last month. It's a very nice collection of games; Red Alert 2, Yuri?s Revenge, and Renege are worth it alone.

So, is NWN gold a good game? I've never tried the series.

I like it. Some call it the thinking man's Diablo 2

Well the big deal about these games is notsomuch the game itself, but it's mroe of the toolset that comes with it - you can do practically everything with it, I guess.

NWN uses the 3.5 Ed D&D rules.

The game's a LOT more interesting than D2...D2's just a hack/slash fest. NWN you do have to think and solve puzzles. You also are allowed to hire a 'henchman', if you will.

The REAL lure of NWN, if you are/were a D&D player, is that you can create custom scenarios/dungeons, down to the NPCs. As DM, you can control any character/monster/blah. You can use existing scripts for characters or monsters. Tons o' fun.

I might add folks have developed Persistent Worlds with NWN, similar to Evercrack, but without the cost and addiction.

One, for instance, I spent my entire time developing skills as a miner and armorer/weaponsmith...I couldn't harm a fly, but I could armor you against a dragon :D

Excellent buy for $17.

Are you sure. My SAMS' always has the software boxes mixed up. You have to look through each stack to make sure you don't miss anything.
