that's what I was going to say. but if he's doing the whole steak.... i dunno...

Maybe it's a real thick shabu shabu.

I've always wondered why they'd call it "shabu shabu" though. It's an onomatopoeia for sucking ****.

I have had "boiled" steak but it was in a fondue broth. It's not too bad if you have good dipping sauces with it. Here is the broth:

Coq au Vin
Flavors of fresh herbs,
mushrooms, garlic, spices
and burgundy wine.

edit: Our meal had filet, chicken breast, tiger shrimp, lobster tail, and an assortment of vegetables.

I'm trying to convince my wife that we would all love taco night. I would have to promise no turtle farts however.

I once had a conversation with a buddy of mine about his girlfriend:

Me: Hey dude, what are you doing Saturday night?
Him: Saturday is Arianna (gf) night, man! It's like taco night at the Olive garden!

Sorry, I'm too hungry for it to be an innuendo but I'm too scared to actually buy/eat Taco Bell.

ive had boiled meat... but typically it was in a stew...

and didnt you have to tell your son earlier in life that abusing his meat only causes problems in the future when trying to impress the ladies?

what the hell?

Shabu-shabu (?????? ,, also spelled syabu-syabu?) is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The dish is related to sukiyaki in style, where both use thinly sliced meat and vegetables, and usually served with dipping sauces. However, it is starkly different in taste; shabu-shabu is more savory and less sweet than sukiyaki. It is considered a winter dish but is eaten year-round.

*I think I'll just stick with BBQ ribs and collards*

It could be a version of spring rolls where you use thinly sliced meat that will cook in the broth. Then you combine with vermicelli, veggies, whatever else.

Hot pot is good eats. It's just not what I would call 'steak.'

BBQ ribs and collard greens is good eats too.
