My son wants to cook us dinner. He says he brings broth to a boil then drops the steaks in for a minute. Anyone ever heard of this?

All I know about dinner is boiled steak and fondue for dessert.

Ive never met anyone that actually uses a fondue pot. I thought we all kept them in the cabinets till they went out in a yard sale.....

You should ask him to point out a recipe that he is modeling his dish after. If he says he just made it up then alarm bells should be going off
