Snagged 2 to play with... Software is OK, will make an excellent tool to make the house appear not empty when we are away. I wish they had a randomization feature in the schedule, but it can be customized for every day of the week, with multiple events, so one can do the "randomization" that way... I think the schedule gets saved with the account you create, not with the phone app, I believe the schedule should work without the app/phone being up/connected, as long as your wifi is connected to the internet.
I saw that HomeDepot has Philips/Cree smart bulbs for about $15, this deal beats that slightly.

Mine are still in transit so thanks for the heads up. Have you used the Philips bulbs before? Curious how they compare functionality wise. All just software driven?

I have not used the smart Philips bulbs, but just noticed they are likely the same kind of setup as TPLINK. From my experience, Philips makes good LED bulbs (have not had one Philips die on me yet, but I've had others die).
