As the article stated there’s ground testing of the propulsion system going on with tear down of the thruster coming up. There’s also some hot fire testing coming up with the vehicle.

We’ll bring them home when the testing is complete and we understand the relative risks of all the options available.

... maybe SpaceX to the rescue.,.. in Feb 2025..? Cant they just admit that Boeings capsule is trash at this point, eject it and get online to get the space faring folk back? They have had ample time to try and figure out what they broke and its time to just fess up and move on.

They have not been stuck on the ISS.

They have had a ride home at all times. We moved them to be part of the ISS increment crew and Crew-9 went up with two open seats for them to come home on.
