You misunderstand. GOP leadership demands lock step. Dissent will be, and is being, punished.

If the dissent was more moderate, that would be one thing. But considering the current GOP is the furthest from center any major US party has ever been and the dissent is even further from center, the dissent isn't in line with what the public wants but instead with what the crazy ass fringe wants.

I remember hearing Louis Gohmert talk about considering putting his name up for consideration. Congrats Gohmert on making me actually be glad that Boehner won in that respect.

Yea, pretty much this, exactly this. Imagining Gohmert in that position made me physically ill.

The OP lost any credibility when he referred to Boehner as a RINO. I'm assuming he is referring to those few times when Boehner tried to actually act like a responsible adult instead of the toeing the nut job line.

Go look through the history of compuwiz's posts. He hasn't had any credibility in a long time, he may have never had any to begin with in fact.

Boehner's problem is he keeps trying to work on other issues while ignoring the only one that matters; trying to repeal Obamacare again for the next two years. Assuming the president doesn't veto it, there's a chance it might finally happen this time.
