Obama should just remove from office Boehner and all the Republicans in the House. Problem solved. Go big or go home. Or, instead of four branches of government as we have with Obama in the White House, eliminate the Legislative branch entirely and we're then back to three branches. Executive, Judicial and Agency.

The power to execute the laws does not include a power to revise clear statutory terms that turn out not to work in practice.

From the majority opinion of Utility Air Regulatory Group v. Environmental Protection Agency, and opinion released June 23, 2014.

Empty pandering to the well indoctrinated base, an exercise in duh-versionary futility.

Repubs' message is frothy chicken little emotionalism concealing fatally flawed and extremely divisive socio-economic ideology. They're quite desperate in trying to sell that, in getting people to vote with their gut instead of their head, keeping people emotionally involved & off balance, hatin' on the Democrats, hatin' on Obama. They're running from their record as fast as they can, hiding the fact that all they offer is more of the same, harder & deeper.

The less receptive the audience, the more strident they become. It's all they can do.

Yup its a play to the base and oddly enough nobody in Congress wants to vote for or against war in Iraq. Both parties would prefer the President takes the hit for taking action or not taking action.
To me this is important, Obama using executive powers on a bunch of random stuff is far less important.

Repubs will take the opposite side from Obama no matter what. Their specialty is backbiting & naysaying. Their vision for this country has become so extreme that they simply cannot compromise. They would gladly transform the country into one where the distribution of income, wealth & power approximated the third world.

Put the race card down and step away.
:whiste:
notable lawsuits involving U.S. presidents:

  1. Nixon v. Fitzgerald (1982) -- An Air Force analyst fired by President Richard Nixon sued the former president for damages, after a government commission determined his firing was unjust. The 5-4 Supreme Court decision held the President is entitled to absolute immunity from damage suits based on official presidential acts.

Different situation.

This is the first time a sitting president is sued for taking executive actions. First in the history. What I am holding is the Royal flush of race cards. you lose, I will take the pot and go home.

It is a black thing, the NAACP should step up and start going into action.

good lord....this is getting out of hand. What a bunch of crybabies.

I feel like I'm walking down the aisles of the grocery store, and baby Boehner is clawing at Daddy Obama's leg because he won't let him get a candy bar.

Didn't Obama just free 5 guys from Gitmo that in your words [Heck, lets hope they then get a book deal - or, even better yet, set free to murder more soldiers!!]

And that is what Texas Hiker wants to happen. He wants terrorist NOT to be killed on the battlefield (the same battlefield where they are killing our soldiers) and he wants them to be arrested and placed on trial.

When Obama frees terrorists; it's a shame, OMG, my country is going down the shitter!!

When Obama kills terrorists; it's a shame, OMG, my country is going down the shitter!!

Obama can't do anything right - even if he followed the advice of his critics, since they are constantly bashing him. They don't want him to do anything correct, which is why everything he does is wrong to them.

This is nothing even remotely new. It's a national pastime to bash the POTUS. Since attention spans are short, I'll delve minutely into recent history. Bush could do nothing right either. He was hanged in effigy, burned in effigy, his head was cut off and put on a stake in a TV series, the list goes on and that's just a few of the visuals.

This kind of shit goes with the job but we've got a bunch of thin-skinned people getting a case of the vapors every time Obama is criticized. Ho fucking hum.

In other words, you don't have any idea what the suite is about, or if it has any basis in law, you just "know" it's bad because it's connected to a republican.

I liked when he was asked what he was going to sue about he was like "uhmm, I'll get back to you on that".

I don't know how the lawsuit will be formulated but I welcome one. No, not because of Obama, but because I believe that the Executive Branch has too long attempted to increase its power and immunity. Yes, that would include Bush. I'd like to see some limitations or failing that a clear outline of what is proper and permissible. I wish this had been done a decade ago.

How dare you insert facts into a base pandering frothing rant!!

So a chart of numbers is all the facts you need? How about looking at the nature and content of the executive orders to see exactly what the issue is about. I mean if obama can amend legislation... what the hell are we paying congress for.
