I'm confused. What did we gain by the wave of republican wins in the mid-terms? Seems to me we just got the different end of the same turd. Boner and McConnell just proved that they have no spine, and are, in fact fucking RINOs. I will give them credit for not being a cause of another govt. shut down, but WTF! These guys need to be ditched post haste! Nobody is winning here. All they did is slip a bunch of pork into this, once again proving they do not work the will of the American people. Pig fuckers! No, I will not calm down, Butthead!

Agreed.

I knew we were in trouble when I heard my new Senator, Cory Gardner, who won a hard fought election, state that "now we can work together and accomplish something."

I almost threw up.

America got "porked" again. I'm hearing from both Democrats and Republicans. Just another 1.1 trillion in debt, just another day at the office. Congress is fucking us, all of us! Guess what...they're not done yet. Wait till the next CR, if you think this was bad. Time to empty Ft. Knox and pay this shit off! Oh, wait, it was probably looted a long time ago.

So there's a Dem revolt going on led by Liz Warren against the Repub's inclusion of greatly increasing individual campaign donation limits and rejecting the inclusion by the Repubs language that neuters a key component of Dodd-Frank which was designed to prevent another financial meltdown and bailout of the banks, something of which the Dems got blamed for by the Repubs.

Word I heard is that if the Repubs remove those two items from the bill the Dems will vote for it.

Seems like a good thing to me.

What I'm really interested in is what are the Dems willing to give up in the bill to make the Repubs withdraw those two last second sleight of hand riders.

edit - Well, it passed in the House. Haven't got the specifics on it yet.
