I need to stop being so much person. There will be exercise, and with a small gym at work I can get into good habits again. My bigger issue is with eating like crap. I already have very little patience to cook when I get home, and if I'm staying late working out I will definitely spring for fast food if I know I don't have something pretty much ready to go at home.

So, there are some friends that seem to be having success with these things. They sound good and should be better than most of the other stuff I usually spring for. I wouldn't be springing for the ridiculous $250/month "challenge" they're pushing, but the $100/month amount seems good. Enough mix for 2 "meals" per day in a month, so it's a more realistic cost.

The question is... are they worth bothering with? Alternatives? I'm mainly looking for ease of making, and of course tasting decent. Doesn't have to be a liquid but it would make life easier as I usually eat breakfast on the go.

Know nothing about this brand, but if you want a solid meal replacement shake look into Controlled Labs Golden Feast. It's not as expensive and people rave about the taste.

At first I thought you were trolling me because that sounded like a brand of dog food.

Thanks for the rec though. I'll check it out 😀

I don't know about the products themselves, but one of my buddies is at Bighorn 100 this weekend and I've seen a ton of pics of people wearing shirts with the Vi logo on it. I'll ask him about the brand next time I talk to him.

I've had some sample shakes. They taste good but with all meal replacement shakes it's all in the preparation. I frequent a local ship that sells Herbalife meal shakes. I will sometimes meal replace with them and consider it may new fast food or an occasional treat.

If you don't like cooking, get precooked chicken breasts or Hillshire Farms now make pregrilled preseasoned chicken breasts that come vacuum sealed, two in a pack for $3-$4. Expensive, but 60 seconds in the microwave and you have a tasty protein source. Throw in an apple and a Minute Rice Brown and Wild Rice single serve cup (two in a pack for about $1.99, and takes 60 seconds to cook) and you have a good, healthy meal.

Just a small update. I decided to buy just a 1 month supply to see if it's any good. Making fruit smoothies with it and it's quite good, but it's not making for a decent meal replacement. Even though I'm a bigger guy I've never been one to need a lot of food to feel full, but this isn't making much of a dent. I may have to toy with the amount of fruit I'm using or something, but I don't know.
