sorry that we missed you last night hopeless.

took us about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete all three small tournaments.
suprise appreance by digi also.

thanks for the help everyone last night.

nothing beats round 5-- waves 3-5 with no shields.. lol

It sounds like you had a full team. I went ahead and got it but only messed around with the bank for now.

No shields?? Did any special effects (extra HP or HP regen) that are on the shield still work?

Guys? What is required to join up with you peeps? Max level (61? 50?)? This game is massive fun for me and I would love to try and do some co-op :)

Broke out my soldier and have been running the armory on playthrough 2 with him. Hit level 56 last night.

I've got a mid 40 hunter on playthrough 2 that I've kinda put on hold to return to the soldier as he was already level 50.

I only have the underdome that I haven't done any of & the armory that I've only been running with my soldier so far.

For coop it's best to be close to the same level. The enemy level is based mostly on the host. If the host is much higher level you won't be doing hardly any dmg or if the host is much lower level it would be a cake walk which either aren't very much fun.

While you are gaining levels I'll be running my soldier. When you get in your 40's give me shout & I can switch back to my hunter for a bit.

Awesome man, thanks! I'll definitely do that.

Haha... Hellfire just dropped from the chest ! :D This is sooo awesome!

EDIT: To sum up. I walked away with:

- HellFire
- 750 shield (I'm level 30...) / 350 with quick HP regen
- +SMG dmg/regen purple mod
- Eridian shotty for some other fun (has shock elemental damage - blue)

All from one chest... :D

Great, I'm always open to having an actual team instead of just random people online.

More so now that I bit and got underdome, at least the bank is a nice addition.

Concrats.

With my soldier I started mainly with full auto combat rifles but had to switch over to SMG as I couldn't get a decent one for nothing. Finally got a purple full auto combat rifle that isn't crap but I think it's level is in the high 20s or low 30s. Over time I've gotten a few orange / yellow burst fire ones but none of the full auto ones.

Thanks! Have a soldier too. A spraying combat rifle is awesome :D So much fun! But somehow the Siren is more fun for me - as I wrote earlier, I actually use her skill a lot, cause it's fun and has a low cooldown.

And the particular HellFire I found has a low RoF - I love high RoF weapons... maybe I'll get lucky and find a 10+ one? This one has 3.6... :( Still, it's an awesome weapon that kills everything ultra fast. I just wish it spat more bullets :p I almost regen ammo faster than use it up :p

After I got my soldier to 50 I did a quick run with the others to get a quick idea about them & to get thier achievements. The turrent does have a high cooldown. I put a couple pts in refire to speed it up a little bit since I normally only use high fire rate combat rifles & SMGs.

I liked the hunter so I continued working on him afterward. His skill has a fairly short cooldown, but I haven't used it very much. Using mainly revolvers he kills pretty quickly. The last time I played him I've got 4 different ones equipped to swap between depending on what I'm fighting (acid, fire, explosive & the last I think is electric). Can't wait until I hit lvl 48 as I've got a Savage Chimera waiting to try.

After doing all the knoxx missions I decided to take my soldier back to P1 & give the dome a try, although I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes as I noticed some lvl 58 - 60 bad guys. Doing the prove yourself mission and got hell-burbia cleared out.

Been using my hunter a bit lately & decided to give the dome a shot on P1 with him. Took me a few nights but managed to solo the prove yourself mission. I was surprised that the reward was a skill point. The bounty board didn't light back up with any other missions.

Do you just go into one of the arenas for it to start one of the long battles? Are there any rewards for the long battles besides achievements?

after you complete the 3 small arena a curtain open in the back the level opening you up to the three large ones.

i believe after you complete the 3 large ones u get another skill point.

btw i have only done one large one. i was lvl50 with three level 60s and it took over three hours. and this was with all the bad guys scaled to lvl 50...

The extra skill point is only a reward for completing the three small tournaments on both playthroughs. Larger tournaments are just for achievements and more chances at end of the round loots.

you are correct. just did a little research and read this

" Also, just a correction, it has 2 new skill points. you get one for doing the small tourney on playthru 1, as well as 1 point for doing the small tourney on playthru 2"

Thanks for the info. It's nice to get a skill pt as a reward for all the small ones, but nothing extra for the big ones kinda sucks.

Holy crap, 3 hours.
I wonder how long it would take if the host was lvl 1 or at the min lvl to enter.

I'll probably still at least try one if anyone wants to team up.

15 is the minimum level. Two friends (57 Mordecai, 61 Roland) and myself (57 Siren) did the large tournament in the Angelic Ruins on playthrough 2, and it took us 6 god damn hours. The large tournaments suck.

I started one last night and after about 1.5 hrs made it to I think round 6-7 I just gave up on it for now. No way was I going to get through it before I needed to get to bed.

After seeing that I'm thinking of either doing the small rnds with my soldier for the extra skill pts or switch over to start working on one of the others as I still have the siren & brick to really try.

Yeah the first ten rounds take like, an hour and a half, which makes you feel like it's not so bad. The last half is so slow though, and if you die, you get knocked back a round.
