Hey everyone... I'm back.

I thought I'd come back and add my home system back to the Seti TeAm crunch. I can't give much, but maybe 8 or 9 or so a day, but any little bit helps, eh?

Just to fill you in, the reason I've been gone is I had money problems, having lost my job, so lost access to the net for my cruncher... It took awhile to find something to do, so this was one of the last things I was worried about, ya know? I finally found work, such that it is, and then I got married. So... I've been busy. heh....

And, 6 weeks ago, we had a baby. (and I thought I was busy before...groan....). Little Anthony Robert was born on Sept 26th. 🙂 :Q

But anyway... I'm back, for awhile anyway. I'll add my home system to the cause. I might be able to start a 2nd computer up also and add a few extra WUs here and there with the clunker...

I seem to remember thinking that back about the time I left, that I was expecting Seti (Classic) to be ending, to be replaced by BOINC. What happened?

Anyway... I'll be around. Nice to see things here much the same as when I left, as well as most of the old crowd...

BOING is apparently not quite ready for prime time yet, they keep threatening to pull the plug on seti classic sometime but no dates have been given.

So, for me & my machines it's seti classic until the end!! 😉

IIRC, it's a TeAm requirement that you setup a cruncher for the new arrival. So yeah, get that 2nd cruncher built.

Welcome back and congrats on the new job and new arrival! 😀

I was doing BOINC for a while but found the client to be a bit of a PITA. By that I mean I installed it and let it run for a while. One day I found my client wasn't producing and looking further my client was outdated. I thought BOINC would update itself? Anyway, I'm back to SETI classic working for the TABOO team. 🙂
