Beasley has nothing to do with it but yeah, he'll do great for the ONE season he'll play there. And my hatred for Huggins goes back to when Beasley was still in diapers so he has very little to do with my opinion of Bob.

It's still amusing.

What's amusing? That Huggins would stab one of his closest friends (Lutz) in the back by negotiating deals with Lutz's top recruiting assistant who just so happens to have been really close to Beasley? Kind of slimy to go after your good friend's assistants without even discussing it first. Beasley is the ONLY reason Huggins wanted Dalonte Hill and Hill will likely get canned once Beasley leaves for the pros.

There are a lot of other details to that whole situation that do nothing but further tarnish Huggins' character, or lack thereof. Not that it needed any help in doing so. His inability to graduate players and drunk driving charges speak for themselves.

I'm not bitter about losing Beasley. Niner fans knew the chances of him playing in Charlotte were very slim, long before KSU became a player in the recruiting battle. My only bitterness regarding the Beasley situation is simply how Huggins went about getting him. He had to do it the slimy way instead of actually recruiting the kid. He opted to backdoor Lutz and hiring Hill solely because of his ties to DC Assault/Beasley. But that's par for the course with Bob so it's nothing suprising.

UNCC fans have been jealous of UC basketball for a long time. If offered I bet Lutz himself would have left for the UC job. UNCC always thought of UC a rival but it was never that way for UC.

That's because UC was stupid enough to put up with all the criminal behavior that Huggins' players were part of. The university opted to choose athletic success over school character. That eventually caught up with them and they were finally forced to take action against Huggins. KSU sold their souls by hiring Huggins and it will catch up with them eventually.

That's comical considering that even Huggins declared that when UC played at the Shoe, that it was never more electric than when Charlotte showed up. I guess that's why Cincy fans used to make shirts that ridiculed one of Charlotte's best sharp-shooters. And I suppose that's why it was one of the toughest tickets to get in Cincy. Cincy fans are just too arrogant to admit it was a rivalry but Charlotte gave them better games than anyone else in the conference (when both were members of CUSA).

And why would we be jealous of Cincy when they managed to only reach one Final Four under Huggins? Wow...what a track record after being there 17 years. :roll:

It was just a typical conference game and now they aren't even worth skid marks. Annual games against Xavier, Dayton, Louisville, and even Miami are and will always be a better ticket.

It is not that easy to always dominate the NCAA Tournament every year but Huggins did make the big dance 16 straight years.

As far a problems with players, yes Huggins did recruit some questionable players but show me a team with teams that are constant 20 game winners and I bet most of them have players with issues. Even Duke via Reddick has problems and unfortunately UC isn't handed McD All Americans every year.

A handful of bad apples in 17 years is a pretty good track record especially when you consider some of the 'problem' players he turned in to productive individuals.

Huggins is a low class, cheating, backstabbing drunk with absolutely no friends. His players: steal, cheat, punch their pregnant girlfriends, punch police horses, and oh yeah, tie their roommates up and light them on fire. Other than that, he runs a great basketball program, if you like paying and playing one year mercenaries.
