i have to agree with triumph, some of those jokes made me chuckle, but the jokes definitely show their age. they're just too tame, they don't hit you out of the blue like stuff you see today.

It's the kind of humor that old people laugh at. Mostly because that's their generation. For our generation, he is NOT funny. Compare The Simpsons, Seinfeld, or Office Space to Bob Hope... We're so much more evolved, humorously speaking, than him!

I'm 19 and I not too stuck up to laugh at/and appreciate someone like Bob Hope. Evolved? Oh yeah, that crap they make money off of now under the disguise of comedy.

thats your opinion, but thats ok not everyone likes his humor. But most people would admit your opinion is pretty humorous tho. 😛

Bob Hope was one of the funniest comedians ever. He was witty and had unbelievable timing. Didn't have to go over the top of shock people to get laughs either.

His only downside imo was that he wrote very little of what he used and hired tons of professional joke writers to constantly feed him material.
