Bob Barr blasts Obama and McCain for supporting Real ID Act

No, I don't. But then again, everyone is already identified by SS number anyway and no one complains about that. This is just another number.

If this is just "another number" then why the need for it? If all they needed was a SS number, then they wouldn't be pushing this. Obviously it is much more than that.

Who knows, perhaps this ID number wont be tied to a credit report? We already have a national ID called a SS. I dont see people pissing and moaning about that.

I am working on the database for Real ID and one of the fields, under, "User" Is "troublemaker". I'm going to ensure yours is marked as True. You can paypal me $200 and I'll set it back to false, thanks!

Our federal government is plain evil. It has lied, stolen, and murdered for its position of power and dominance. The real question is why would someone trust a psychopath with their safety?

Then you're not paying attention. Why should I be tracked at every financial transaction based on a card that was supposed to be nothing more than the number of a retirement account?

I am not paying attention? What is that supposed to mean? Since when have I been a huge backer of SS?

Using the ID may then allow the SS# to go back to its original purpose.

The ID can be used for all Government documents

That is my hope. I get so tired of insurance companies, utility companies, etc. asking for my SS.

It would certainly be good for a few (bushie?) companies.

Even the cato institute is against it. This makes me wonder if it's actually an ok idea...
