Boat Name Graphic Design

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some graphic design help here.

I've decided to change the name on my boat, we've settled on Phoenix.

I've got 51" by 23" to place the name and was thinking of encorperating the Formula "Thunderbird" logo into the name, likely taking the round corners of the wing tips and making them sharper so the thunderbird looks more like a phoenix.

If anyone wants to fool around in Illustrator I'd appreciate it. I can tweak a design to make things work but don't have the creativity that some do when it comes to this sort of thing.

I've always seen you guys turn out amazing designs.

There's a pretty specific de-naming and re-naming ceremony that will be followed. I'm not really superstitious but can't resist anything involving champagne.
 
Renaming a boat is bad luck. But, you do realize, Phoenix: a mythical bird that is born out of the ashes (fire) of its predecessor.
Fire & water don't play well together. You're REALLY tempting fate. 😛

My stepdad's brother had a river boat, his whole family was Italian they named the flat bottom party boat "Daygo my money" LOL! I always smile when I think about it. 😛

My sister and her husband recently moved onto a 43' sailboat. They changed the name of the boat and have a woman living aboard.

My Mom and her husband also lived aboard a 43' Pan Oceanic for over 12 years. They changed the boat's name when they bought it... never had any bad luck.
